The revitalized Lied Animal Shelter showcases 60 healthy, happy dogs in it upcoming "Best In Show," Sunday, June 1st at the Orleans Arena. The doors open at noon, and the show begins at 1:00pm. The Animal Foundation is proud to present its sixth annual Best in Show with a cavalcade of stars, lending their support and a parade of the most loveable strays that the city has ever seen.
Thousands are expected to attend for a day of fun and excitement as approximately 60 unique and beautiful shelter dogs compete in front of nationally known American Kennel Club judges. The top dogs from each category will then compete for the distinction and honor of being Best in Show. After the competition, all of the dogs will be available for adoption.
The Animal Foundation
The Animal Foundation is the regional shelter for the City of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Clark County. In 2007, it found loving home for more than 11,000 animals and the "Best In Show" charity raised more than $25,000. one hundred percent of the funds raised from the show went to provide food, shelter and medical care for the animals, including vaccinations, microchips and spay and neuter surgeries.
